Every dog and cat is special and deserves to be taken care of. When
we find those who are from irresponsible families who have not cared
for them and need our help, we do our best to help them. There are
thousands of homeless dogs and cats in our area who have no one. (In
Richland and Lexington counties alone, over 18,000 were put to sleep
last year because there were not enough homes for them.) Wescott
Acres has compassion for every living thing, yet our resources are
limited toward how many we can care for. We do our best to rescue
abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats. We work with local
humane associations, particularly the Midland's largest, Project
Pet. When local families contact us about a pet they can no longer
keep or a pet they have rescued, we talk with them about how they
can best assist that pet. Wescott Acres Rescue is a
501C3 tax-exempt organization so as to actively seek to grow in our ability
to help the helpless.
Our adoption fee for dogs is
$125. All of our pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and
microchipped. They are current on heartworm prevention and
flea/tick prevention.
The cat adoption fee is
$100. All of their medical has been provided as well and they are
all feline aids/leukemia negative.

DONATE TODAY!
Wescott Acres Pet Rescue is a small
non-profit rescue. In 2007, we rescued and found loving
homes for 236 pets. This effort is expensive. We provide
surgeries, vaccines, microchips, shelter, food, heartworm
prevention and other necessities to each pet. Donations are
essential to our mission of saving lives. Every dime given
helps the pets directly. The rescue is run by volunteers.
There is no paid staff. Join us is our efforts! Donate
today. Make your tax-deductible donation payable to Wescott
Acres Pet Rescue and mail to 6005 Wescott Rd. Columbia SC
